These pictures are maybe the last of Camp Altenrath. It was a Military base of the belgium troops in german near the Cologne-Bonn Airport. First I nearly didn’t found it but I heard noises like on a contruction area. I was sure that must be the spot because I red in newspaper that they will deconstruct everything and give it back to the nature. But the nature already recaptured a great part of the buildings. For photography it is great but most people think it is not beautiful. Camp Spich is a former nuclear weapon storage and it is not clear when it will be broken down but I’m sure it will. If you are able to go to it as soon as you can because it won’t take long before everything is gone.

Diese Bilder sind vielleicht die letzten von Camp Spich. Camp Spich war eine Militärbasis der belgischen Truppen nahe dem Köln-Bonn Flughafen. Ich hätte es fast nicht gefunden aber dann habe ich Geräusche wie von einer Baustelle gehört. Dadurch war mir klar, dass ich wahrscheinlich richtig bin, weil ich in der Zeitung gelesen hab dass die Kaserne im Moment abgerissen wird. Es wird renaturiert, aber die Natur hat sich schon einen Großteil der Gebäude zurückerobert. Ich als Fotograf finde das wunderbar aber viele andere finden, dass sowelche Orte die Gegend entstellen und ein Schandfleck sind. Camp Altenrath ist ein ehemaliges Nuklearwaffenlager. Es ist nicht klar wann dieser Standort abgerissen wird aber ich bin mir sicher dass es nicht mehr lange dauern wird. Also wenn ihr noch ein letztes Mal die Möglichkeit habt es zu besuchen würde ich euch raten euch zu beeilen, weil es nicht mehr lange dauert bis alles renaturiert ist.
